In Ioannina (Griechenland) haben wir eine Nacht verbracht und sind am nächsten Morgen über die Autobahn Richtung Grenze Türkei gefahren.
We spent a night in Ioannina (Greece) and drove the next morning on the motorway towards the border with Turkey.
Wir haben Griechenland auf dieser Tour nur als Transitland gewählt. Da wir schon mehrmals im Land waren, möchten wir lieber mehr Zeit auf dieser Reise für „neue“ Länder haben. Generell ist Griechenland natürlich eine längere Reisezeit wert!
We have only chosen Greece as a transit country on this tour. We have already been to the country several times and this time we would rather have more time on this trip for "new" countries. In general, Greece is of course worth a longer travel time!
Auf dem Weg zur Grenze haben wir noch ein sehr gutes und modernes Museum mitgenommen. Das Museum in der Stadt „Vergina“ zeigt sehr vermutlich das Grab des Vaters von Alexander dem Großen. Es hat sich wirklich gelohnt!
On the way to the border we picked up a very good and modern museum. The museum in the town of "Vergina" very probably shows the tomb of Alexander the Great's father. It was really worth it!
Danach, ungefähr 150km vor der Grenze zur Türkei, haben wir in der Stadt Komotini einen Stopp eingelegt und dort genächtigt.
Afterwards, about 150km before the border to Turkey, we stopped in the town of Komotini and spent the night there.
Am nächsten Tag ging es weiter in die Türkei. Direkt über die Dardanellen, gleich vom europäischen in den asiatischen Teil des Landes.
The next day, we went on to Turkey. Once passed the border we directly crossed the Dardanelles, straight from the European to the Asian part of the country.
