Auch wenn wir im letzten Blogbeitrag geschrieben hatten „Hier im „Blog“ geht es dann weiter, wenn wir wieder mit unseren Motorrädern vereint sind…“ gibt es hier nun ein kleines Update, obwohl wir noch nicht wieder mit unseren Bikes vereint sind.
Even though we had written in the last blog post "Here in the "blog" we will continue when we are reunited with our bikes..." here is a small update, although we are not yet reunited with our bikes.
Die erste Überraschung kam gleich ganz am Anfang, an dem Tag, als unser Container auf die erste Etappe zum Containerhafen nach Singapur gestartet ist. Aus dem „nichts“ wurde die komplette Verschiffungszeit bis nach Istanbul um eine gute Woche verlängert… der Grund schien zu sein, dass unser Container mit den Motorrädern auf einmal auf andere Containerschiffe umgebucht wurde. Na ja, so haben wir beide nun eine unverhoffte Verlängerung der „Backpacking“ Zeit. Es gibt schlimmeres… ;)
The first surprise came right at the beginning, on the day when our container started on the first leg to the container port in Singapore. Out of nowhere, the entire shipping time to Istanbul was extended by a good week... the reason seemed to be that our container with the motorbikes was suddenly rebooked on other container ships. Well, so now we both have an unexpected extension of the "backpacking" time. It could be worse... ;)
Durch die vorhandene extra „Backpacking“ Zeit wird Marc nun nach seiner Zeit in Japan, die er dadurch auch etwas verlängern konnte, auch noch in Taiwan vorbeischauen, um dann von dort nach Istanbul zu fliegen.
Due to the additional "backpacking" time, Marc will now also visit Taiwan after his time in Japan, which he was also able to extend a little, and then fly from there to Istanbul.

Ich (Thilo) hatte ganz früh, basierend auf dem originalen Verschiffungstermin, ein ziemlich günstiges Rückflugticker aus Seoul nach Istanbul gebucht. Daher hatte ich dann nach meiner Zeit in Taiwan und Südkorea noch gute 2 Wochen nach meiner Ankunft in Istanbul zu überbrücken. Hier aber erst einmal ein paar Fotos aus Taiwan...
I (Thilo) had booked a fairly cheap return ticker from Seoul to Istanbul very early, based on the original shipping date. Therefore, after my time in Taiwan and South Korea, I still had a good two weeks to bridge after my arrival in Istanbul. But first, here are a few photos from the time at Taiwan...

Die 2 Wochen von Istanbul startend, habe ich dann teilweise in der Türkei (Istanbul, Izmir, Ephesus und Cesme) verbracht.
Starting from Istanbul, I then spent part of the two weeks in Turkey (Istanbul, Izmir, Ephesus and Cesme).
Aus Cesme wird es für mich nun erst zur griechischen Insel „Chios“ und dann weiter mit einer Fähre nach "Piräus/Athen" gehen. Um dann irgendwie wieder zurück nach Istanbul zu kommen wenn unsere wertvolle Fracht dort ankommt.
From Cesme, I will first go to the Greek island of Chios and then take a ferry to Piraeus/Athens. And afterwards somehow get back to Istanbul when our precious cargo arrives there.
Generell wird es aber auch Zeit für uns beide, die Motorräder wieder in Empfang zu nehmen und zurück auf den Asphalt zu kommen ;)
In general, though, it's time for both of us to pick up the bikes again and get back on the tarmac ;)
