Es stand fest… es sollte mit dem Motorrad auf Weltreise gehen! Doch was für eins sollte es werden?! Nach einigen feucht fröhlichen Abenden und den dazugehörigen Recherchen… leicht sollte die Maschine sein und PS braucht man auf so einer Reise eh nicht!
Am Ende fiel die Entscheidung auf die Honda CRF300 Rally, die bereits in der Grundausstattung für´s Reisen / Endurowandern ausgelegt ist. Genau nach dem wir gesucht haben! Die wichtigsten Daten der Motorräder: 153kg vollgetankt bei sagenhaften 27,3 PS!
Once we have decided that we will go on a world tour on a motorbike the question which kind of motorcycle needed to be solved… After a few happy, cheerful evenings and the required researches, we had an idea which type of motorbike it should be... the bikes should be light weight and with a limited amount of horse power… since horse power is not what you really need on such a trip…
Finally, the decision has been made in favor of the Honda CRF300 Rally. It is a bike which is already designed for enduro touring and accordingly exactly what we were looking for… basic and most important data: 153kg with a full fuel tank and with an incredible force of 27.3 horse power!

Replacement of the original suspensions with products of Wilber's (generally the suspensions on the original motorbikes are too weak/soft for our purpose)

The upgrade has been copleted by suitable hand tools to be able to carry out the basic repairs ourselves. (Hopefully we will not need them!!) In order not to be unprepared, we exercised some basic repair works on the motorcycles for a day...
